PCN Level 3 Training and Examinations

 

Course description

ASTC is currently offering PCN Level 3 training and examinations for UT, PAUT & ToFD in Singapore, Saudi Arabia and UAE. Our course structure is compiled based on the guidelines established in PCN/GEN and Appendixes. Detailed class-work and proven “hands-on” exercises gives the student a thorough understanding of the theories and concepts.

 

Course details for UT

•   UT theory and its applications.

•   Advantages and limitations of UT.

•   Codes / Standards requirements as per ASTM / ASME, AWS & BS etc.

•   Familiarization of the equipment and probes.

•   Calibration and checks.

•   Scanning techniques.

•   Data collection and analysis.

•   Procedure writing.

 

Course details for PAUT

•   Principles of Phased array and applications.

•   Familiarisation with Phases array instruments.

•   Codes / Standards requirements as per ASTM / ASME, AWS & BS etc.

•   Principles of Phased array probes.

•   Principles of inspection sensitivity- Selection of parameters.

•   Calibration and checks.

•   Phased array scanning.

•   Software familiarity for data collection and analysis.

•   Procedure writing.

•   Methods of simulating phased array inspections.

•   Basic Knowledge of specialised applications.

 

Course details for ToFD

•   TOFD principles and application.

•   Familiarisation with ToFD instruments.

•   Codes / Standards requirements as per ASTM / ASME, AWS & BS etc

•   System configuration

•   Calibration and checks

•   Principles of sensitivity -Selection of parameters.

•   ToFD scanning.

•   Software familiarity for data collection and analysis.

•   Procedure writing.
